Step 1: Download and Install Ledger Live

1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the official Ledger website at ledger.com.

2. Download Ledger Live: Navigate to the download section or directly to the Ledger Live page.

3. Select Your Platform: Choose the version of Ledger Live suitable for your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux).

4. Download and Install: Follow the on-screen instructions to download Ledger Live and install it on your computer.

Step 2: Setting Up Your Ledger Device

1. Unbox Your Ledger Device: Ensure you have all components:

   • Ledger hardware wallet device

   • USB cable

   • Recovery sheet (to write down your recovery phrase)

   • Instruction manual

2. Connect Your Ledger Device:

   • Use the USB cable to connect your Ledger device to a USB port on your computer.

3. Power On Your Ledger Device:

   • Press the button on your Ledger device to power it on. The Ledger logo should appear on the screen.

4. Initialize Your Ledger Device:

   • Follow the on-screen instructions on your Ledger device to set it up.

   • Create a PIN code: Set up a PIN code using the Ledger device’s buttons. This PIN will be required to access your wallet and confirm transactions.

   • Write Down Your Recovery Phrase: Your Ledger device will generate a 24-word recovery phrase. Write down these words in the exact order provided. This recovery phrase is crucial for recovering access to your wallet if your Ledger device is lost, stolen, or damaged.
